Keep On Trucking

Read Time: 2 min

The holiday weekend is over. There hasn’t been much progress in your side business. In fact, others seem to be successful, yet you’re scratching your head wondering when is it your turn.

A quick overview shows you that:

You’re overwhelmed and feeling stuck.

Let’s be honest you’ve lost your spark.

Where do you go from here?

It’s your journey, and you are the star of the show. The story is developing right in front of you, and it’s dependent on your action or lack of action. Either way, the story goes on with or without your help.

So the question is: What are you going to do about it?

Here are three disciplines to help you shake things up and get you moving toward your dreams.

1. Forgive Yourself

Your ordinary world is being shaken up. You have refused to move forward in one or more areas even though there’s a shiny call to action right in front of you.

Forgive yourself for your past. Forgive yourself for any lack of action or progress on your part. It’s tough to move forward when you are holding onto the past.

Life just happens. It’s what you’re believing about life that makes you suffer.” – Byron Katie

2. Decide

There is a lot to learn. Your story is still in progress.

You can decide to give up on your dream.

or…

You can decide to get back into the game and make some magic happen. Boom!

3. Embrace The Now

There will never be another moment like this. Take a look around you and soak it in. Pause and enjoy the moment wherever you are. Oh yeah, I like that.

Embracing the now helps you to remain present so you can be grateful for what is right in front of you.

Right now is a great opportunity for success.

Cheers,

  1. This resonates.

Often we feel as if we’re making no progress. Stepping back and looking at the big picture, where we’ve come from and how much we’ve learned, shows otherwise.

And as you said, be in the moment. Enjoy the journey. Carry on!

  2. We can change our stories at any time, ’cause we’re actually the authors of our own stories. So many people don’t realize that….

And Nature is the best cure for living in the Now: The other day we were out walking and a hawk soared low across the path, right in front of us, wings spread majestically…. Wow. We just had to pause and appreciate that moment…. If we hadn’t been there, in that place, on that day, at that precise time … we would have missed that glorious sight!!

  3. I love how you put it so simply: Forgive, Decide, Embrace.

It’s too easy to get caught in between 2 stools, but accepting what is past, taking a stand for a choice and embracing makes you alive.

It’s not about what could have been, it’s about what you do with what you have.

  4. Oh ya, definitely been here so many times. I find it’s especially an issue for me after a a lot of action and then a slow down for a week or two. It’s hard to stay motivated when the momentum keeps dipping.

Thanks for the tips I’m definitely bookmarking this!
