Sometimes shit happens which is just a circumstance. These circumstances are neutral in that they are neither good nor bad. It’s just a fact. It happened, whatever “it” is. The Universe sees it as neutral.
The difference between a good or bad experience is how we embrace the thoughts triggered by the circumstance. It’s how you choose to think about it.
It is what it was.
You don’t have to honor the same old thoughts. Right now you can choose a new thought about it.
Let me ask you:
Does life happen to you?
Does life happen for you?
I’ve experienced both viewpoints.
In my youth, I was in the camp where life happens to you. I played the victim role. I was always worried about what someone did to me. They did this to me. It didn’t serve me well. However, it was the best I could do with what I knew at the time. So I rolled with it.
With more experience, I changed my tune. I became a fan of life happens for you. I gave up the victim role. I became a victor. I began asking questions that mattered.
How can I make this work for me?
What is the best next thing?
Now that my plans have changed, what dose of awesome is right around the corner?
Yes, sometimes shit happens, and it’s no fun.
Keep in mind some of life’s greatest gifts are only visible to you after adversity has changed your plans. You gain a new perspective, and you notice a new light.
You got this!
Today is a new you. Ahhhh Yeahhhh!
Choose to let life happen for you or through you. Let go of the darkness (anger, judgment, negativity) and follow the light (appreciation, love, positivity).
If it feels right, then follow the light.
Breathe in and breathe out.
